Council of Catholic Women (CCW)

Parish Councils of Catholic Women (CCW) are organized to meet the spiritual, educational and service concerns of the women of that parish and assist their pastor. Every year, we choose a Woman of the Year from our parish who has served the council or their parish and community. She, along with the outgoing and incoming council presidents, are honored at an annual ‘Woman of the Year’ mass celebrated by our Bishop, followed by a luncheon.

We have two votes at the Diocesean bi-annual convention.

We are an affiliate of the Kankakee-Grundy deanery, the Joliet Diocesan CCW, the Chicago Province of CCW and the National Council of Catholic Women.

Our CCW sponsors a child from the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging and donate to Birthright of Kankakee.

Our meetings are the 3rd monday every other month.  All women of the parish, 18 and older are members of the CCW. There are no dues.
